
Hall of Famer “Reggie” Jackson was known for his clutch hitting at the plate, especially in crucial moments. Among the many accolades he earned throughout his career, Jackson had 14 All-Star selections and won 5 World Series titles.
His nickname, “Mr. October,” was given to him during the 1977 World Series. His teammate, Yankees catcher Thurman Munson, gave him the nickname due to his outstanding performances in the postseason. Jackson solidified the nickname by hitting three home runs in the final game of the series against the Dodgers, leading the Yankees to victory and cementing his legendary status.
